An accessible concession is available on AT HOP or as a cash fare on public transport in Auckland.

Who can get an accessible concession

If you're a current Total Mobility or Blind Low Vision NZ cardholder, you are eligible for an accessible concession. With this concession, you'll get at least 40% off adult fares on scheduled AT buses, trains and ferries (excludes Waiheke and Rakino ferries).

When travelling on public transport, you must carry your Total Mobility card, Total Mobility AT HOP card or Blind Low Vision NZ card with you. You may be asked to show your ID to prove your eligibility.

Accessible concession without a HOP card

When buying a ticket without a HOP card, you must carry your current Total Mobility card or Blind Low Vision NZ card with you to prove your eligibility for a discounted fare.

To load your accessible concession on your AT HOP card, please select that option when you apply for the Total Mobility scheme.

Total Mobility AT HOP card

Your Total Mobility AT HOP card will be loaded with your accessible concession when you receive it.

What you need to know

If you do not have a Total Mobility AT HOP card, you must register your AT HOP card before an accessible concession can be applied.
You may only hold only one AT HOP card with an accessible concession on it.
If eligible, you may hold a Gold AT HOP card with a SuperGold concession and an AT HOP card with an accessible concession. Find out more about multiple concessions.
Your AT HOP accessible concession will expire on the same date as your Total Mobility card or Blind Low Vision NZ card.
If your AT HOP card is registered as a linked account, you will not be able to apply for a concession online and must do so in person. (Only primary account holders can apply online.)

Renew your accessible concession

To apply for or renew your concession in person, wisit an AT customer service centre. You will need your AT HOP card plus your current Total Mobility card or Blind Low Vision NZ card to load your concession.

To apply online:

Log in to your MyAT account.
Select the card you want to apply the accessible concession to.
Select "Available products" tab.
Select "Apply for a concession".
Choose "Accessible" from the list of concessions.
Enter your Total Mobility card or Blind Low Vision NZ card ID and expiry date. If you're using a Blind Low Vision NZ card, the expiry date is the last day of the month listed on your card – for example, April 2025 becomes 30 April 2025.
