Auckland Transport (AT) are investigating ways to reduce the dependence on on-street car parks and loading zones, manage congestion and improve efficiencies in the way service, trade and delivery businesses access their CBD clients.

Auckland Transport is making 9 designated car park spaces available for trade and service vehicles in Victoria Street Car Park. Trade and service vehicles are now able to access reserved spaces in Victoria car park. This will save time trying to find an on-street park and will help reduce congestion.

$4 per hour.

Trade and service vehicles can now utilise 9 dedicated parking spaces on the ground floor level in the Victoria car park. This will save time trying to find an on-street park and will help reduce congestion.

Eligibility

The 9 reserved parking spaces are for Trade and Service vehicles that actively doing jobs in the Auckland CBD. The vehicle should be clearly identified as a Trade and Service vehicle. The Ground Level in VCP has a vehicle height restriction of 2 metres.

Payment

The Victoria Street car park has been recently been fitted with a licence plate recognition (LPR) system, that reads the vehicle’s licence plate number as they enter and exit the car park. You no longer need to take a ticket.

Option 1 - Pay with AT Park
With AT Park you can pay for parking using the AT Park App. This is available for both iOS and Android devices. You can update and manage your account details online, including setting parking reminders, adding multiple vehicles, and having access to all your parking transactions and tax invoices.

How to use AT Park to pay in VCP:

  1. You do not need to start a parking session.
  2. When you enter the car park your licence plate number and time of entry will be recorded.
  3. When you are ready to leave the car park, open the AT Park app, enter the Area ID 100314 and select Pay.
  4. Once you have paid, you have 15 minutes to leave the car park.


Option 2 - Pay at the machine
VCP has payment machines on Level 1, at the two High Street pedestrian entries. Machines accept EFTPOS, and credit and debit cards, including PayWave. There is a machine that accepts cash at only one entry.

How to use payment machine:

    1. When you enter the car park your licence plate number and time of entry will be recorded.
    2. Pay at the machine before returning to your car.
    3. Follow instructions on the machine, including entering your licence plate number.
    4. The parking fee will be calculated from the time you entered the car park.
    5. Scan your voucher, if you have one.
    6. Once you have paid, you have 15 minutes to leave the car park.
