Greys Avenue carpark will close to the public from 17 October 2024 until approximately December 2026.

There will be no public parking for this period, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Alternative parking is available at the Civic Carpark.

Wastewater network upgrade

To support this growth, Watercare will upgrade the wastewater network in midtown. They will use the Greys Avenue carpark as a construction support area.

This upgrade is needed because Auckland midtown will experience huge growth in the coming years. There will be significant residential and commercial development.

Accessible parking

The accessible parking spaces are an exception and will still be available. They will move to the southeast corner of the Greys Avenue carpark.
