Swaffield Road, Papatoetoe – Parking Restrictions Swaffield Road, Papatoetoe – Parking Restrictions
Proposal status: Closed
Reference number: RTV-502
Proposal outcome
In October 2023, we proposed changes to install parking restriction signs at Swaffield Road, Papatoetoe. After reviewing all the feedback we received, we are proceeding with the work as proposed. These works will help support Tāmaki Makaurau Vision Zero goal.
What happens next
We anticipate the changes will be constructed in March 2024. We will be in touch with local residents and businesses prior to any construction taking place.
Community feedback
Thank you for helping us make better decisions for your neighbourhood, informed by your local knowledge.
We’re proposing improvements in your area
The community have told us that vehicles park all day in the parking spaces in front of the shops on Swaffield Road, Papatoetoe. This makes it difficult for people going to the shops to find a place to park. We also have been told that parked vehicles have been blocking the driveway next to the shops. We’ve investigated and found that parking demand is high.
The changes in the proposal include:
- P30 time restriction outside the shops
- P120 time restriction outside Swaffield Park (This provides an option for customers and visitors who need to stay longer)
- Broken yellow lines in front of the driveway next to the shops, to make it clear where parking is allowed.
The P30 and P120 parking restrictions will apply from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
